Rosebud Sioux Tribe Diabetes Prevention Program

A new generation of wellness in action

Our Logo

Our logo was designed by Connie Brushbreaker and created by Andy Iron Shell. It carries intricate meaning in Lakota thought. All things in nature move in a circle; the seasons, life and death. The medical symbol and the interconnecting circles represent the coming together of the traditional and the western ways of healing.  The lizard signifies the male; the turtle signifies the female. Both represent long-life and good health.
